Creating A Menopause Diary
There are some things in life that are simply difficult to go through. Menopause is one of these things. Some women are more positive about it than others, but most women dread the bothersome symptoms that accompany menopause. One way you can choose to get through the “change” is by creating a menopause diary. There are several reasons this can be a great idea for you.
A Legacy
If you are a mother, then there will likely come a time in your life when you’ll want to pass your female wisdom down to your daughter or granddaughter. While this wisdom may cover everything from falling in love to having children, as the females in your life begin to age, you’ll probably also want to address menopause.
Creating a diary of your journey through menopause is a great way to pass along your experiences and insights. Your daughters and granddaughters will not only be able to learn from you, they won’t feel as if they’re going through the experience alone.
Healing Power
Many women have a difficult time getting through the emotional as well as physical aspects of menopause. Working through these challenging times by writing in a diary or journal can actually help with the healing process. There’s something therapeutic about writing down your thoughts and feelings, especially when you’re feeling physically and emotionally drained.

The diary isn’t so much a form for venting as it’s a venue for the appreciation of the events of your life. You may reflect on your youth and your children, or on your wedding and marriage. Reflection on the past is a wonderful way to feel positive about the future.
